Andrew Wiggins Explodes For A Season-High 30 Points
6 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves small forward/shooting guard Andrew Wiggins went for a season-high 30 points as he made 11 of 20 shots from the field, two of four three-point attempts as well as six of 10 free throw attempts in Sunday's victory over the Thunder. The 23-year-old also grabbed six rebounds, doled out five assists and committed four turnovers in 42 minutes, which is the most playing time he has seen this season. It was his third straight game of at least six boards and the 13th consecutive game of scoring in double figures. The fifth-year pro has been playing very well in December, averaging 19.6 points along with 4.9 rebounds, 1.5 treys, and 2.1 assists while shooting 46.6 percent from the field and 37.8 percent from beyond the arc. He has a fairly tough matchup against Justin Holiday and the Bulls on Wednesday. Wiggins struggled mightily against the Bulls in an earlier meeting as he missed all 12 of his shots from the field and finished with zero points and didn't do much of anything else.
