5 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves shooting guard/small forward Andrew Wiggins was uber-aggressive from the jump during Wednesday’s overtime win over the Brooklyn Nets, getting up 27 shots in the season opener. Wiggins found the bottom of the bucket on 10 of those -- none of which came from long range -- but he delivered a 21-point, eight-rebound performance to kick off what feels like a make or break year for the sixth-year former No. 1 overall pick. His line was slightly enhanced by the overtime period, but Wiggins should remain a solid source of offense amidst a group that is desperate for his scoring touch. He faces off with an up-tempo Hornets team Friday.--Jesse Borek
