Andrew Wiggins Goes Off For Season-High 40 Points
6 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves shooting guard/small forward Andrew Wiggins scorched the Oklahoma City Thunder for a season-high 40 points Tuesday. His performance also marked his first double-double of the year, as he added 10 rebounds and four assists, making for Wiggins’ most dominant outing of 2018-19. He got there by shooting 11-for-24 from the field overall, but also 16-for-18 from the free-throw line. Without Robert Covington and Derrick Rose in the lineup, Wiggins continued his aggressiveness and came out with his seventh career 40-point effort. He can remain a flummoxing fantasy asset at times, but Wiggins has gone for at least 20 points in four of his last five outings.
