5 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves shooting guard/small forward Andrew Wiggins dropped 21 points on 9-for-21 shooting during Saturday’s defeat to the Phoenix Suns. Wiggins has now gone for more than 20 points in each of his last nine games, having also added four rebounds, three assists and three blocks across his 36 minutes Saturday. His offensive onslaught began in early November and has yet since ceased, having averaged 23.1 shot attempts per game over his last eight contests. Wiggins, who is averaging 25.2 points per game, seems destined to both set a new career high and also to finish near the Top 10 in the league in scoring.--Jesse Borek
