Andrew Wiggins Second On Timberwolves All-Time Scoring List
6 years agoMinnesota Timberwolves small forward/shooting guard Andrew Wiggins scored 17 points on 7-for-12 shooting from the field, including 3-for-5 from beyond the arc, in Friday's loss to the Spurs. The 23-year-old added five rebounds and one assist in 36 minutes. With his performance, he surpassed Sam Mitchell to move into second place on the franchise's all-time career scoring list with 7, 174 points. The game marked his most efficient game since recording a 40-point double-double versus the Thunder on Jan. 8, although he has scored in double-figures in each of the four contests after that game. The fifth-year pro is currently having his best month of the season with 22.4 points, five rebounds, 2.3 assists along with 1.6 three-pointers. Wiggins struggled against the Suns, who the Wolves face on Sunday, in the teams first meeting this year as he tallied 14 points, six rebounds, and three assists.
