Angels Option Jo Adell To The Minors
3 years agoThe Los Angeles Angels optioned outfielder Jo Adell to Triple-A Salt Lake on Tuesday and recalled infielder Jose Rojas in a corresponding move. Adell wasn't off to a terrible start for the Angels this year -- he was hitting .231 (15-for-65) with three home runs, nine RBI, four runs scored and one stolen base in 19 games -- but the Angels want to get him more consistent playing time in the minor leagues now that both Mike Trout and Brandon Marsh are healthy and playing every day. The Angels top prospect was mostly playing against left-handed starters, and he's mostly been a disappointment in his 92 games at the major league level over three seasons, sporting a .210/.252/.357 slash line with 10 home runs, 42 RBI and three steals.
