7 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans power forward Anthony Davis continued making his case for MVP on Tuesday against the Dallas Mavericks. Davis had no trouble dominating the paint, finishing with 37 points on 15-for-21 shooting and eight rebounds. Although he ended his streak of five straight double-doubles, Davis continues to silence doubters given his injury history. However, this week is a little unusual with the Pelicans playing three games in a row. Coach Alvin Gentry hinted he may rest Davis for a game, but nothing has been confirmed. The Pelicans play again Wednesday against the Pacers and Thursday against the Lakers. Should Davis rest for a day, Nikola Mirotic would receive a huge boost in usage.--Dale Johnson - RotoBaller
