Anthony Davis Dumps 48 Points on Knicks
7 years agoNews Orleans Pelicans forward/center Anthony Davis had a solid outing in the 123-118 overtime win over the New York Knicks. While center DeMarcus Cousins struggled offensively, Davis picked up the slack, scoring 48 points on an efficient 17-for-30 from the field, 2-for-6 from deep and 12-for-15 from the stripe. It didn't end there, as he would go on to pull down a game-high 17 boards and was also solid defensively by nabbing four steals and blocking three shots. Davis has been a monster as of late, combining for 114 points and 36 rebounds over his last three games. However, he may cool off a bit as the Pelicans will next meet up with a defensively-sound Boston Celtics squad, a team that is only allowing 20 points per game to opposing power forwards all season in addition to only allowing them to shoot 44 percent from the field.
