6 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans power forward/center Anthony Davis was for all intents and purposes held down by the Houston Rockets on Saturday, but he still managed to finish with 22 points and 11 rebounds, giving him his eighth consecutive double-double. Davis has set such an absurdly high bar that his scoring total was his lowest in nearly three weeks, while his 13 shot attempts in 39 minutes is one of his lowest averages per minute this season. These minor blips can burn DFS owners, while traditional owners take solace in knowing that Davis will come roaring back eventually. His next contest comes Monday versus the Minnesota Timberwolves, whom he is averaging his fewest rebounds per game (8.3) against any opponent for his career.--Jesse Borek
