6 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans power forward/center Anthony Davis went for 40 points on a second straight night Saturday against the Denver Nuggets. Davis survived a bit of an injury scare earlier in the game, but returned to finish out an eventual win going 10-for-20 from the field, as well as an astounding 20-for-21 from the free-throw line. If that weren’t enough, he flirted with a triple-double by adding eight rebounds and eight assists without committing a turnover. It was a sterling effort from one of fantasy’s premier players, who is eyeing an MVP award in 2018-19.--Jesse Borek
