Anthony Davis Struggles In Loss To Philadelphia
7 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans power forward/center Anthony Davis didn't look like his usual self in New Orleans' loss to Philadelphia, finishing with 14 points on 6-for-19 shooting while grabbing eight rebounds. Davis recorded a steal but didn't have a block or an assist and he missed all three of his shots from behind the arc. Davis has now underperformed as a scorer in both games that have featured Nikola Mirotic playing beside him in the starting lineup, though he did score 38 points against Minnesota with Mirotic coming off the bench. The two-game sample size isn't something to overreact to, especially against a Nets team on Saturday that's been among the league's worst at front-court defense, but it might be something to keep in mind if Davis has another below-average outing.
