5 years agoLos Angeles Lakers power forward/center Anthony Davis recorded a team-high 24 points and recorded a season-high eight blocks in the win on Sunday against the Detroit Pistons. Davis connected on 7-for-16 shooting and also added 11 boards with three steals in this monster of a line. The Lakers were just a block shy of tying the club record of 21 blocks as they recorded 20 as a team and this included JaVale McGee and Dwight Howard recording six and five respectively. With defensive outings like this, the Lakers make for a tough opponent even when they make just six threes in a game as they did in this one.--Gianni Costantiello
