3 years agoThe New York Yankees placed closer Aroldis Chapman (Achilles) on the 15-day injured list ahead of Monday night's game against the Baltimore Orioles. Catcher Kyle Higashioka was activated from the COVID-19 injured list in a corresponding move. Chapman is dealing with Achilles tendinitis, an injury that first flared up this past Sunday. While he is out, Clay Holmes is expected to step in as the team's primary closer. Holmes has been absolutely fantastic so far this year, converting each of his four save opportunities while pitching to a 0.42 ERA and a 0.69 WHIP.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
