3 years agoColorado Rockies starting pitcher Austin Gomber took a no-decision on Friday when he allowed three runs on six hits with three walks and three strikeouts over five innings in a 9-4 win over the Diamondbacks. Gomber didn't have his best stuff on Friday and wasn't very efficient. He fired off 88 pitches to get through his five innings, coughing up a two-run single to Josh Rojas and a solo homer to Ketel Marte in the process. He was given plenty of run support, however, so he walked away with a no-decision. The 27-year-old southpaw only has one quality start over the last four contests and has given up 12 earned runs in 16 innings over that span. He owns a 4.15 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, and 103:34 K/BB ratio over 106 1/3 innings (21 starts). He'll look to right the ship in his next turn against the Cubs on the road.--Jon Mathisen - RotoBaller
