2 years agoBaltimore Orioles outfielder Austin Hays (wrist) is being held out on Sunday as the team takes on left-hander Jose Suarez and the Los Angeles Angels. Ryan McKenna will be manning Hays' usual left field post for the game. Hays has been dealing with right wrist soreness lately, but has mostly been playing through it. He has been struggling through the early going of July. Across eight games this month, he's gone just 3-for-30 at the plate with nine strikeouts. The 27-year-old has had some hot stretches throughout the year, but overall he's been about the same player we've seen in the previous couple years. He's roster-worthy in deep leagues and AL-only leagues, but can be left on waivers in shallow leagues. Across 80 games, he's slashed .261/.318/.441 with 11 home runs, 45 RBI and 41 runs.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
