6 years agoSan Diego Padres catcher Austin Hedges (elbow) was activated from the disabled list Sunday and will start against the San Francisco Giants. Hedges is batting seventh in his return. Out since May 1 with right elbow inflammation, Hedges is hitting .173 with two homers. He could have some fantasy appeal as a power source behind the dish but owners should take a cautious approach. In a corresponding move, catcher Raffy Lopez was optioned to Triple-A El Paso. Lopez was praised by the Padres pitching staff but provided minimal value on offense, batting .180 with three long balls in 34 games.--Andrew Le - RotoBaller
