Austin Rivers Drops Season-High 21 Points Across 41 Minutes
5 years agoHouston Rockets point/shooting guard Austin Rivers set season highs all across the stat sheet during Monday’s win over the Utah Jazz. Rivers played a season-high 41 minutes, took a season-high 21 shot attempts and eventually finished with a season-high 21 points, despite his 7-for-21 shooting performance. With both James Harden (thigh) and Russell Westbrook (rest) out of the mix, Rivers was handed a massive workload and largely succeeded, turning the ball over just twice. With Westbrook expected back Wednesday, Rivers may not have as much DFS value as he did Monday, but another absence from Harden could pave the way for a handful of additional shot attempts.
