Austin Rivers Set To Stick With Nuggets Through 2020-21 Year
4 years agoDenver Nuggets point/shooting guard Austin Rivers is expected to sign a deal that keeps him with the franchise through the remainder of the current season. Having impressed during a 10-day contract, Rivers has proven to be valuable backcourt depth for a roster figuring out how to navigate without Jamal Murray (knee) in the mix. Despite having averaged 24.1 minutes per contest off the bench, Rivers has not scored in double figures in any of his five games, shooting 34.5 percent from the field overall, all of which does not make him an immediate fantasy commodity in any format. For those targeting the Nuggets' new-look backcourt, Monte Morris and Facundo Campazzo remain more appealing options.
