6 years agoTexas Rangers starting pitcher Bartolo Colon managed to finish with a solid line after his outing Monday. Colon allowed three earned runs in five innings, striking out three with four hits and a walk. The strikeouts have been an issue all season for Colon, with just 75 in 135 1/3 innings. Another issue is the amount of innings that Colon will throw in the remainder of the season. The Rangers will want to see what Eddie Butler has as a starter, and in order to do that they need to build up his pitch count. That may mean that Colon is regularly pulled with low pitch counts, meaning that even when he has favorable matchups it will be tough to use him for fantasy purposes.--Ben Rolfe
