4 years agoMilwaukee Brewers outfielder Ben Gamel will hit leadoff for the first time this season against the Chicago White Sox on Thursday. The team has been rotating between Eric Sogard and Ryon Healy in the leadoff spot since Lorenzo Cain opted out of the season. Gamel has primarily hit eighth or ninth in the order this year, but he has had better results at the plate than both Sogard and Healy so far. He's slashing .261/.320/.652 with two home runs and seven RBI over 23 at-bats. If Gamel can hold the leadoff spot, he could be someone worth monitoring in deep fantasy leagues, but it's more likely going to be a mix at the top of the lineup for now.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
