Ben Simmons Continues To Struggle From Free Throw Line
6 years agoPhiladelphia 76ers point guard Ben Simmons filled the stat sheet with 14 points, nine rebounds, eight assists, one steal and a block in Tuesday's victory over the Clippers. The third-year pro was only 6-for-13 from the field and 2-for-6 from the free throw line. It is the fourth straight game that Simmons has made 50 percent or less of his shots from the charity stripe. While he has doled out at least six assists in seven of eight games, the 22-year-old has turned the ball over three or more times on five occasions during this stretch which includes four on Tuesday. Simmons, who has produced three triple-doubles in his last eight outings, will look to extend his double-digit scoring streak to 13 straight games against the Suns on Wednesday. The former LSU star nearly registered a triple-double in the earlier matchup versus Phoenix as he posted 17 points to go along with 11 rebounds and nine assists.
