5 years agoPhiladelphia 76ers point guard/small forward Ben Simmons packed the stat sheet during Monday’s win over the Utah Jazz, collecting 14 points, nine assists, eight rebounds and four steals during his 34 minutes of action. Entering the night, Simmons had been shooting just 39 percent from the floor overall across his previous six outings, but that was rectified against one of the league’s premier defensive units as he knocked down seven of the 11 shots that he took. Next on the docket is a collision with the Wizards on Thursday, whom he recorded a double-double against twice last season and boast one of the more porous defensive units in the league.--Jesse Borek
