Ben Simmons Reportedly Blames Mental Block For Absence
3 years agoBrooklyn Nets guard Ben Simmons (back) was anticipated to make his team debut during Game 4 of the playoff series versus Boston. However, that didn't happen. Instead, the former 76er was ruled out ahead of the contest after reporting he was experiencing soreness on Sunday morning. Nonetheless, after the Celtics swept the Nets, reports have now surfaced that Simmons blamed a "mental block" for his abrupt absence from the pivotal contest while also indicating to team personnel that stress "could be a trigger point for his back issues." There's likely more to this story. Yet, it's not good news regarding Simmons' outlook for the 2022-23 season, especially since there's a chance his mental health situation could keep him off the floor.
