6 years agoDetroit Pistons power forward Blake Griffin scored 29 points on 9-for-16 shooting from the field, 4-for-7 from the three-point line, and 7-for-11 from the free throw line. The 29-year-old added nine caroms, four assists, and three turnovers. It is his fourth straight game of tallying at least 29 points and the eighth occasion this month as he is shooting the ball exceptionally well. The ninth-year pro is currently averaging a season-high 30.1 points in January as he is making 51.8 percent of his shots and 36.1 percent (2.7 makes per game) of his three-point attempts. Griffin will look to extend his streak of consecutive games with at least one three-pointer to 16 games in a row against the Pelicans on Wednesday.--Daniel Benjamin
