6 years agoDetroit Pistons power forward Blake Griffin collected 18 points, seven rebounds and five assists Friday versus the Indiana Pacers, but that didn’t keep his team from being on the wrong end of a 37-point blowout loss. Griffin still managed to log 32 minutes, but did rack up seven turnovers, diluting his other categories. Detroit remains reliant on Griffin for much of their offensive success, which bodes well for his long-term prospects. As for the short-term, he has a match-up with the Orlando Magic on Sunday, who have done a solid job holding down opposing frontcourt players this season.--Jesse Borek

3 years agoBrooklyn Nets forward Blake Griffin (ankle) is questionable ahead of the Game 3 playoff meeting against the Celtics. The 33-year-old is dealing with a sprained left ankle. However, he hasn't done anything this postseason, so his availability on Saturday in either direction won't impact DFS managers.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller

3 years agoBrooklyn Nets forward Blake Griffin is going to remain in the starting five, according to head coach Steve Nash. The veteran forward is off to a horrendous start to the season. He is averaging 4.8 points and 4.8 rebounds in 20.0 minutes while shooting only 28.6% from the floor and 12% from downtown. LaMarcus Aldridge has easily outplayed Griffin off the bench, but Nash has no plans of changing the lineup. Fantasy managers might want to hold Griffin a little longer in hopes of a turn around, but it's not looking good right now.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller

3 years agoBrooklyn Nets forward Blake Griffin (rest) won't play on Sunday against the Hornets. With the team playing its first of back-to-back outings, the veteran will get the afternoon off. LaMarcus Aldridge, who exploded on Friday evening against the Philadelphia 76ers by recording 23 points, should get additional minutes behind Nicolas Claxton without Griffin in the lineup. Paul Millsap could also get some extra run, although not enough to make him relevant from a fantasy standpoint.--Dennis Clausen - RotoBaller
