Blake Griffin Will Sit Out Sunday’s Contest
4 years agoDetroit Pistons power forward Blake Griffin (rest) has been deemed unavailable to play in Sunday's game against New Orleans due to rest purposes. After playing in both legs of a back-to-back for the first time all season Thursday and Friday, Detroit decided not to run Griffin out for a third game in four days. Saddiq Bey, who went for a career-high 30 points Friday even with Griffin in action, stands to see an increased role Sunday, driving his DFS stock up. Griffin's consistent absences have shrunk his season-long value to the point that he can only be rostered in larger formats. He should be all set to return Tuesday versus the Spurs, but even then, that outing comes as the first outing of a back-to-back.
