Bobby Portis and Jabari Parker Headed To Washington
6 years agoPower forwards Bobby Portis and Jabari Parker are remaining teammates, but both will have new homes in Washington, D.C. after a deal Wednesday sent the pair in exchange for Otto Porter. Portis spent the first three and a half years of his career with Chicago coming primarily off the bench, averaging 9.7 points and 5.8 rebounds per game while shooting 46.1 percent overall. Parker was in the first year of a two-year deal this season, which means the Wizards will also have his services for 2019-20 should they pick up his option. It’s been a bizarre season for Parker, who was removed from the team’s rotation earlier in the year and yet has still averaged 14.3 points and 6.2 rebounds. It’ll be a fresh start in D.C. for both.
