Bobby Witt Jr. Back In The Lineup Monday
3 years agoKansas City Royals third baseman Bobby Witt Jr. (wrist) is back at third base and is hitting seventh against St. Louis Cardinals left-hander Steven Matz on Monday. Witt missed the series finale on Sunday against the New York Yankees due to wrist soreness, but he'll be back in there a day later. The shortstop prospect got off to a slow start in his first MLB season, but he's now in the midst of a nine-game hitting streak to raise his average to .216 with no home runs, five RBI, six runs scored and four stolen bases in 19 total games. Witt has gone 11-for-35 with two RBI and two runs scored during his nine-game hitting streak, and fantasy managers will be hoping he can clear the fences for the first time in his career soon.
