Bobby Witt Jr. Not Starting On Wednesday
2 years agoKansas City Royals infielder Bobby Witt Jr. (hand) isn't in the lineup for Wednesday's matchup with the Houston Astros and right-handed starter Cristian Javier after he was hit by a pitch in the hand on Tuesday night. The rookie is batting .236 with a .286 on-base percentage, 12 home runs and 12 stolen bases in 322 plate appearances this season. Instead, Nicky Lopez is getting the start at shortstop and is hitting ninth. Fantasy managers in need of streaming help at shortstop are probably better off looking elsewhere. Lopez is batting .228 with a .290 on-base percentage and five stolen bases in 257 plate appearances this year.
