Boston Considers Utilizing Jayson Tatum At Point Guard
4 years agoBoston Celtics small/power forward Jayson Tatum could be adding a new role to his arsenal in the short term -- backup point guard. Per Celtics head coach Brad Stevens, Tatum could be used as the point guard with Marcus Smart (calf) and Payton Pritchard (knee) currently unavailable for the time being. Kemba Walker and Jeff Teague are the team's primary ball-handlers, but Tatum, who is averaging a career-high 3.7 assists per contest, could see added upside over the next handful of games, beginning Tuesday versus Golden State.
