5 years agoHouston Astros starting pitcher Brad Peacock took the tough-luck loss on Friday as Houston fell to the New York Yankees by a score of 4-1. Peacock allowed just five hits and two earned runs over six innings in a quality start, while he also struck out 11 batters and walked no one in the contest. The earned runs came off a two-run shot by Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez in the third inning. Peacock sits at 6-5 on the season with a 3.62 ERA, 1.10 WHIP, and an 87/24 K/BB ratio over 82 innings pitched. The 11 strikeouts on Friday were certainly encouraging, as he had gone four straight starts with less than seven strikeouts. Peacock continues to be a reliable, if not particularly exciting, starting pitcher option in fantasy leagues. Continue to roll him out there as such.--Kyle Ringstad - RotoBaller
