5 years agoWashington Wizards guard Bradley Beal opened the NBA season with an inefficient performance in a loss to the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday. Beal started his eighth NBA season with 19 points, nine assists and six rebounds. That's certainly nothing to sneeze at, but a closer look shows a 7-for-25 shooting performance, and that is bound to raise some eyebrows. It is not the start to the season Beal, who signed a contract extension in the offseason, was hoping for and he capped off his night with an ejection in the fourth quarter. Beal owners should not overreact to one game. However, the schedule does not get any easier, as the Wizards have a back-to-back against the Thunder and Spurs to close out Week 1 of the fantasy basketball season.--Euan Leith
