Brandon Ingram Attempts Season-High 19 Shots
6 years agoLos Angeles Lakers shooting guard/small forward Brandon Ingram tallied 22 points on 8-for-19 shooting from the floor, including 1-for-4 from beyond the arc, and 5-for-8 from the free throw line in Thursday's loss to the Kings. The third-year pro contributed three rebounds, two steals, one assist in 38 minutes. It was his most minutes and points scored since returning from injury four games ago. The 21-year-old also committed five turnovers in the game, marking the fourth time this season he has accumulated that many turnovers. Like Kyle Kuzma, the former Duke star will be counted on heavily to carry to scoring workload while LeBron James (groin) is out. Ingram, who is averaging over 18 points over his last four contests, has an enticing matchup against Danilo Gallinari and the Clippers on Friday as the Clips allow the seventh most points to opposing small forwards this season.
