Brandon Ingram Finally Flashes His Upside
7 years agoLos Angeles Lakers small forward Brandon Ingram was outstanding on Tuesday, scoring 26 points on nine of 12 shooting, adding four rebounds and five assists. The Slenderman also added two three-pointers and two blocks apiece, as he's finally showing some consistency. Ingram has reached double-digit scoring in six straight games now, as the Lakers are 11-4 over the last 15 games. Ingram leads the Lakers in minutes (33.9) and has a huge opportunity to continue building momentum towards the second half of the season. It's a great sign that Ingram was able to convert on six of six free throws on Tuesday, as he's just 67 percent on the season. We're not expecting him to suddenly shoot 90 percent from the line the rest of the way, but an improvement towards 75 percent would be huge for his value. There will be some bad shooting nights, but his upside to give you dimes, three-pointers, blocks and scoring makes it worthwhile.
