3 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans small forward Brandon Ingram impressed with a season-high 31 points in Monday's 105-100 loss at Washington. He finished with 9-for-23 shooting, which wasn't too great, but shot a solid 2-for-4 from deep and 11-for-12 at the line. Ingram grabbed five boards and delivered four assists with one turnover in 32 minutes. This was a tough matchup for Ingram and the Pelicans against a very strong defense, but they almost pulled off a shock win. It won't get easier on Wednesday against the Heat either, but they can draw confidence from Monday's first-half performance and Ingram could very well have another big performance.
