3 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Brandon Woodruff is off to a rough start to the 2022 season. Over six starts, he's gone 3-2 with a 5.97 ERA and a 1.36 WHIP. He allowed a total of eight earned runs over his last two starts, which were both against the Cincinnati Reds. We've seen his velocity down a bit so far this year. His four-seamer is averaging 95.8 mph (down from 96.5 mph last year) while his sinker is sitting at an average velocity of 95.3 mph (down from 96.2 mph last year). On the bright side, he has a much prettier xERA of 3.69 and his 29.4% strikeout rate is right around where he was last year (29.8%). He'll be looking to get back on track in his next trip to the mound against the Miami Marlins on Sunday.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
