3 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Brandon Woodruff (ankle) played catch on Thursday. It was the first time he played catch since landing on the injured list with a high right ankle sprain this past Monday. Woodruff was extremely encouraged by how he felt after playing catch. He told reporters, "It was kind of a pass or fail thing. It was either better or not. And it was better." He also stated that he was hopeful his stint on the injured list would be on the shorter end. This is all certainly encouraging news for the 29-year-old, who is 5-3 on the year with a 4.74 ERA and a 1.24 WHIP. We should have more updates on his return timeline in the coming days.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
