2 years agoBoston Red Sox pitching prospect Brayan Bello is remaining with the big league club for now and he will make his second MLB start on Monday, facing the Tampa Bay Rays once again. Bello has been absolutely dominant in the minors this year, compiling a 2.33 ERA and a 1.04 WHIP while averaging 12.1 K/9 across Double-A and Triple-A. He struggled in his MLB debut this past week, allowing six hits, three walks and four earned runs over four innings against the Rays. After the All-Star break -- if not sooner -- Bello will likely be back at Triple-A. The Red Sox have several starting pitchers trending towards their returns. Chris Sale (ribs) will be back on Tuesday and Nathan Eovaldi (back) and Rich Hill (knee) aren't far off either.
