Brendan McKay To Miss Time With Oblique Injury
7 years agoTampa Bay Rays pitcher Brendan McKay will be sidelined with an oblique injury for approximately three weeks. McKay, the Rays third-ranked prospect and MLB.com's 22nd overall prospect, dominated at Single-A this season with a 1.09 ERA and 40 strikeouts in 24 2/3 innings. Since being promoted to the Florida State League, he has a 4.63 ERA and 29 strikeouts in 23 1/3 innings. McKay also hit reasonably well at Single-A with a .254 batting average, one home run and 16 RBI. This injury does not really affect McKay's status in any leagues. In dynasty formats, he is still an exciting prospect who is at least a year away from the majors.
