2 years agoColorado Rockies second baseman Brendan Rodgers is getting the day off on Tuesday as the team plays Game 2 of its four-game series against the San Diego Padres. Garrett Hampson will be covering the keystone for the game. Rodgers has been struggling at the plate so far in July. Over 11 games this month, he's slashed .175/.267/.250 with just one extra-base hit, a homer. It's been an up-and-down season for the 25-year-old who owns a season-long slash line of .254/.308/.408 to go along with eight home runs, 42 RBI and 39 runs.--Andrew Ericksen - RotoBaller
