Brendan Rodgers Optioned to Triple-A
6 years agoColorado Rockies second baseman Brendan Rodgers was sent back down to the Triple-A affiliate Albuquerque on Saturday. Rodgers was rocking a subpar .246/.300/.277 slash line with no homers, seven RBI, seven runs scored, and a 22/4 K/BB ratio over 65 at-bats. The Rockies have Ryan McMahon at the second base spot, though he's not setting the world on fire either and isn't firmly entrenched as the starter by any means. Rodgers has demolished minor league pitching in 2019, slashing .356/.421/.644 with 20 extra-base hits (nine homers) over 135 at-bats. He should play every day with the Triple-A club and will most likely be back with the Rockies in the not-too-distant future.
