Brent Rooker Homers Three Times At Triple-A
3 years agoMinnesota Twins prospect Brent Rooker went 4-for-6 with three home runs and seven runs driven in on Tuesday. Although he's hitting just .245, the slugging outfielder has 17 home runs in just 53 games -- second in Triple-A baseball behind Jo Adell. Rooker may never hit for a huge average but his power and on-base skills could be valuable assets for a big-league club. The biggest issue in Minnesota is that he's stuck behind the likes of Alex Kirilloff and Trevor Larnach. With Minnesota going nowhere fast in the standings, now is the time for the club to give Rooker another shot or perhaps flip him for another asset that can better assist the big league club. He's ranked by Rotoballer as one of the Top 50 redraft prospects for 2021 assuming he can find playing time.
