Brooklyn Deems Nicolas Claxton Available For Friday’s Game
3 years agoBrooklyn Nets center Nicolas Claxton (illness) has been cleared to play in Friday's contest against Minnesota after battling a non-COVID-19 illness. Claxton has been down since Oct. 25 and has been ramping up his conditioning to return to game speed. The 22-year-old started the first three games of the season for the Nets, an indication of the role that he could eventually play in the frontcourt. For the time being, LaMarcus Aldridge, Paul Millsap, and Blake Griffin all present competition for minutes, with all of the quartet likely to divvy up time at the center spot. From a DFS perspective, Claxton has a strong matchup, as the Timberwolves have struggled to slow opposing centers this year.
