6 years agoIt was a quiet week for Bubba Watson, who entered the Memorial heavily fancied to perform well at a course he’s had a lot of success on in the past. Watson began his weekend in contention at six-under par, but a 77 on Saturday -- his second highest round of the year -- ruined his chances. Watson finished in a tie for 44th place, with his approach play, in particular, letting him down all week. The American dropped two strokes to the field in strokes gained approaching the green, which was his worst performance with his irons since last August.--Gianni
