Buddy Hield Erupts For 42 Points In OT Win
5 years agoSacramento Kings guard Buddy Hield gave a fitting tribute to the late Kobe Bryant in a 133-129 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves. Hield scored 42 off the bench with nine threes, five rebounds, and three assists to lead a huge comeback. The 27-year-old grew up idolizing Bryant and looked an awful lot like him out there, scoring 20 points on six of six shooting in the fourth quarter to become the second player in the last 20 seasons with such a stat line in the final period of a game in which his team overcame a 25-point deficit. The first? Kobe Bryant himself. If Hield continues to shoot the ball the way he has in his last two games, he'll provide great value, even if it's off the bench.
