Bulls Select Wendell Carter Jr. With Seventh Pick
7 years agoThe Chicago Bull have selected Duke center Wendell Carter Jr. with the seventh pick in the NBA Draft. Carter played one season for the Blue Devils, where he averaged 13.5 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks per game. Carter made 41.3 percent of his three-point attempts in college on 1.2 attempts per game. Like with Suns first-round pick DeAndre Ayton, there are questions about Carter because he's an offense-first center, but he's shown flashes of defensive potential. With the Bulls lacking a quality center right now, Carter should be the starter from Day 1. He'll play beside last year's first-round pick Lauri Markkanen for a Bulls team that should rely on the front court for scoring this season. There's a ton of fantasy potential for Carter, especially if he starts to develop defensively quickly and continues to knock down jumpers.
