6 years agoTampa Bay Rays first baseman C.J. Cron and catcher Wilson Ramos are both sitting Saturday. Cron has generally struggled in his career against right-handed pitchers and is currently hitting .240 against them. However, he does have 10 of his 14 home runs against righties, so he has not been completely without success against them. It mostly seems that Cron is just receiving a day off because the Rays are in the middle of a long spell of games right now. Ramos has played the last four days, so he was due a day of rest. Both Cron and Ramos should be regular parts of the Rays lineup going forward.--Ben Rolfe
