C.J. Cron Homers In Tuesday's Loss
3 years agoColorado Rockies first baseman C.J. Cron went 1-for-4 with a two-run homer and one strikeout in a 6-4 loss to the Mariners on Tuesday. Cron made things interesting in the bottom of the eighth inning when he swatted a home run off of Paul Sewald with Charlie Blackmon aboard to bring the score to 6-4. That would be as close as the Rockies would get, unfortunately. The veteran slugger has had three home runs over the last seven games but is hitting a lackluster .217 over that span. He's got a .248/.357/.476 batting line to go along with 14 home runs and 41 RBI over 246 at-bats on the year. The batting average is nothing special but he gets on base at a decent clip and calls Coors Field home so that will keep him fantasy relevant.
