3 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans point guard C.J. McCollum posted another strong stat line in Tuesday's victory over the Suns, finishing with 23 points, nine assists, and eight rebounds. After scuffling from the field in Game 1, McCollum did improve his shooting percentage, while finding a rhythm from deep to the tune of 6-for-10. McCollum knocked down at least six threes just four times during the regular season, one of which came against Phoenix on Oct. 23 when the guard was still with Portland. With McCollum firmly entrenched as the team's point guard, his assists upside will only increase as the series continues; in 64 career playoff appearances, he is yet to log a double-double. His next chance comes Friday in Game 3.--Jesse Borek
