C.J. McCollum Exits Early Due To Knee Injury
6 years agoPortland Trail Blazers shooting guard C.J. McCollum had his night end early during Saturday’s loss to the San Antonio Spurs. McCollum suffered an apparent left knee injury during the third quarter and will undergo an MRI on Sunday to diagnose the severity, having needed help making it back to the locker room. Prior to his departure, he logged 10 points across 23 minutes, failing to make a three-point bucket for the first time in 13 games. Portland next plays the Indiana Pacers on Monday, but McCollum’s availability certainly doesn’t look promising. Rodney Hood could step into the starting five and see an expanded offensive role, while Damian Lillard would be asked to carry a heavier load.
